About Us
Like a lot of parents, I got busy.I was working a lot and realized I wasn’t being as intentional with my kids as I wanted to be. My wife encouraged me to find something we could do together—something that would give us time to connect.That little push is really where this all started.
It Started With a Pile of Pokémon Cards
In the summer of 2025, I looked at the hundreds of trading cards my boys had collected and said:“Let’s actually play!”Their response?“We don’t know how.”So we decided to make our own game.What started as a simple father-and-sons project quickly became something much bigger. My boys began drawing heroes and creatures, dreaming up abilities, and watching their ideas turn into actual game cards.Then their friends joined in.And something pretty amazing happened.
The kids didn't just want to play the game. They loved creating it.
For a while, I lost sight of that. I became focused on making everything polished and perfect. I worked on rules, artwork, cards, and how we might someday turn it into a real product.And slowly, the kids stopped creating.That's when I realized I had it backwards.The goal isn't for me to build a perfect game and hand it to kids.
The goal is to build it with them.
That's why I created Make With Me Club.It's a place where kids can draw characters, invent creatures, dream up worlds, playtest ideas, and help shape what we're creating.We don't even know exactly what the finished game will become yet.And that's part of the adventure.
